Stephen Whiteley, Founder & Director
Stephen leads the business day to day. He builds and vets the driving team himself, takes client briefs directly, and stays the point of contact through delivery — including when plans change at short notice. A support team handles the administration and coordination behind the scenes.
Stephen has spent over 20 years working across driving instruction and Motorsport, delivering for a wide range of operators, circuits and event formats.
That breadth shapes how the business runs: direct answers, practical support behind the scenes, and no layers between the client and the person accountable.
That same approach carries into our recruitment line. Candidates are interviewed properly and presented with an honest assessment — including the reservations, where there are any.
How we vet.

Invitation, not application
There is no open sign-up. People join the driving team because we have approached them, or because someone we trust has put their name forward.

Checks on file
Licences, qualifications and insurance are confirmed and recorded. Where a role involves under-18s or vulnerable guests, DBS status is confirmed before allocation.

Conduct on site
How someone handles guests, press and high-value vehicles carries as much weight as how they drive. We only put forward people we would stand next to on the day.

Discretion
We do not publish our team list or client work. Individual details stay between us, the person and the hirer who needs them.
The driving team includes people with backgrounds in F1, Le Mans, GT3, GT4, Touring Cars and Rally.
That experience is noted on file — but conduct and reliability are what earn the place on the roster.

Overdrive Group Ltd operates as an employment business when supplying temporary and event-based driving talent, and as an employment agency when placing permanent staff.
We never charge work-seekers for finding them work.
